Just wanted to remind everyone that there is a great show in Kalamazoo, Michigan this weekend and it starts tomorrow! Pinball at the Zoo has a long-running history and is my favorite show of the year. It isn’t huge but it is incredibly welcoming to everyone and has a bit of everything going on. There are tournaments including daily ones and a larger one that runs the whole weekend. There will be new games including at least 2 Iron Maidens, JJP’s Pirates of the Caribbean, American Pinball’s Houdini, Spooky Pinball’s Alice Cooper Nightmare Castle and Total Nuclear Annihilation! There are some restored machines vying for the best in show awards. There is an auction. There are some vendors. Most importantly lots of pinball and arcade games on free play for the weekend.  The show is only $15 dollars a day to get in, or you can bring a game and get in free for the weekend which I strongly recommend as sharing a game you love with others is what really helps make the hobby better in general. Plus Kalamazoo also has Belles Brewery you can go and check out and several locations with pinball in the area too. If you really want to make a weekend out of it you can head a bit further north to Grand Rapids to check out Pyramid Scheme which is another amazing pinball location.
