We are exactly one month out and it appears our bracket is relatively set for the Indiana IFPA SCS Tournament on February 11th, 2017 @ Main Street Amusements! We are still waiting to hear back from one more person that could move the seeds around a bit, but wanted to get this posted out there for everyone as soon as possible. Online Bracket
Below is a sample score card.

Each match will be a best-of-seven. The higher seeded player will have choice of machine or position for the 1st game, with the loser of each subsequent game having choice of machine or order, until someone has won 4 games. A machine may not be played more than once in the same match unless there are less than 7 machines available. If that is the case, only after all machines have been chosen can either player select that game to be played for a second time within the same match. Once a player verbally announces their game choice, or chooses position, that decision will be locked in and cannot be changed.
Each player will have the opportunity for 30 seconds of practice time before starting every game of every match. This is to ensure that both players have a chance to get familiar with the machine.
The winner of the match advances to the next round, while the loser is eliminated.
The 3rd/4th place Consolation Final will be played as a best-of-three instead of a best-of-seven like all other rounds, using the same rules. All other finishing positions will also be played out in best-of-three matches to also determine 5th through 16th place.
As of right now the plan is for most games on the floor of Main Street Amusements be eligible as a game selection with the exceptions of Star Wars: Episode 1, Medieval Madness, and The Big Lebowski. The lineup at MSA is subject to change pending any additions, or subtractions of games as well as the possibility that a game has any sort of playability issues.
More details to come in the near future!
Just a reminder that we are still running selfie league this year under the new IFPA rules. This means that we no longer receive points for our qualifying games, but we do still get points for participating in the finals night, which is always the first Wednesday of the following month, in this case February 1st. You must play a qualifying game on at least 3 of the 5 games to be eligible for finals. The games this month are Cybernaut, Laser Cue, Star Trek Premium, Harlem Globetrotters, and Creature from the Black Lagoon. Our finals is now a best of 4 games format instead of best of 3 games to increase the tournament’s value.
Here are the current standings. Let me know if you have any questions.

There is only one week left for Lafayette Pinball League Winter 2017 Season! Week 10 will be played on 1/24/2017 as next Tuesday will be our first Monthly Tournament of the year instead. Below are the results from week 9 and the standings as we head into the final week!

Here are the games for Week 10! Our season will conclude with a finals tournament on January 31st to crown a season champion!
REMINDER THAT NEXT TUESDAY IS THE MONTHLY 3-STRIKES TOURNAMENT! $5 entry fee + coin drop, prize money paid back to the top 4 finishers. Tournament starts right at 8:00 PM!

League at MSA 7:30 tonight!
Hey everyone, email just went out this morning inviting you to participate in the IFPA State Championship Series for Indiana. Please respond to the email ASAP to let me know if you plan to attend so that we can get our bracket of 16 filled out and know who is doing battle.
The event will again be held at Main Street Amusements this year. Doors will open for practice at 11 AM with the tournament starting at 12 PM sharp. Rules for the event are posted HERE, please read the rules if you plan to attend the event. No physical changes will be made to the machines at Main Street Amusements for the tournament so feel free to get down there and practice as much as you want over the next month. If you have any further questions please let me know.

Finals for Selfie League from December take place tonight at MSA. I heard back from the IFPA and since the finals takes place in 2017 it will be scored under the new rules and applied to IFPA SCS 2017 standings meaning it’s officially the first tournament of the year!
Since the rule changes no longer allow selfie leagues to use the qualifying towards scoring as they are not directly supervised I propose that we now change the finals format to playing 4 games instead of 3 games. This will increase the value of the monthly finals event from 6 games to 8 games. I don’t know that it will make a huge difference in overall points, but figured it can’t hurt. Anyway we can discuss before finals tonight to see if everyone is on board.
Final standings are below.
Slow start to the new year, but next week I think we should have attendance back up! Also the two newest games to MSA are featured in league next week so get on down before next Tuesday to score a few practice attempts on Cybernaut and Laser Cue!
Here are the results from last night as well as the overall league standings after 8 weeks!
Here are the games for week 9 Cybernaut, Laser Cue, Star Trek, Spanish Eyes, and Transformers.

Welcome to a new year! Hope everyone had a good holiday season, and is ready to come back tonight for some league play. Games this week are fire, Game of Thrones, Harlem Globetrotters, Medieval Madness, and Metallica. Same start time as always so be there ready to play by 7:30.

Here are the standings after week 7. Only three weeks left total before our league finals.

Selfie League games for January are Cybernaut, Laser Cue, Harlem Globetrotters, Creature from the Black Lagoon, and Star Trek Premium!

Also finals for December Selfie League are this Wednesday at 7:30 PM. Due to the fact that The Big Lebowski was not available for more than half the month the scores from that game were not allowed to be used in qualifying. Below are the final standings as a result of that. I also believe Matt and Keith have both said they cannot attend finals already so at most we have 7 people coming. I’m also not certain if this tournament result counts towards 2016 IFPA SCS standings, or if it will be the first of 2017 since finals are being held in that year. I have contacted the IFPA for clarification. I also have some ideas for 2017 selfie league scoring that I want to discuss with everyone to get some input so I’ll plan on doing that at league tonight. See everyone there!

Tomorrow night feel free to stop by!
