Team League Update!

A reminder that Team League is just two weeks away! We start on January 24th. A team needs to have a minimum of 3 players but can expand up to 6 players so you have subs or just take turns playing. So far we have two registered teams.

The Region Rats! This team is composed of players traveling from NW Indiana and some even from Illinois! They couldn’t pass on the opportunity to win The Cup! The team includes Phil Mowers, Travis Lancaster, Mark Uncapher, Matt Tozcek, Brad Smith, & Jim Francus. Welcome to the league guys and we look forward to playing with you.

The Double Super Jackpots! This team is composed of a few of your returning Team League champions including Josh Burton and Tommy Skinner, they will be joined by Kaleb Wilken this season with the possibility of more teammates to come. They got a drink of The Cup last season and are thirsty for more!

The revolutionary way to play pinball is returning to North End Pub on January 24th @  8 PM! Team pinball league is a once a year event! You can’t play pinball like this anywhere else in the state! Come compete for THE CUP!

Attachment-1

Grab a few of your closest friends and be ready to compete head to head, 2 vs 2, one handed, and in a relay race to victory! The league lasts 5 weeks and then we have a finals night where a new team will get to claim THE CUP!

Teams can consist of 3-6 players. Details rules will be explained on the night of the events, all I need to know ahead of time is your team name and the names of your players. Players may only play on one team for the duration of the season.

Congrats to Keith and Get Going on 2019!

Keith outlasted everyone to walk away the winner for the December Selfie Tournament! Congrats, and that wrapped up our competitive pinball for 2018 at North End Pub.

That doesn’t really mean though that we are taking a break as the January Selfie Tournament has kicked off early with Royal Rumble and Stars! The tournament is off to a busy start. Here are the standings. We will also host our first 4 strikes tournament on January 27th at 4 PM. This is part of the Indianapolis/Lafayette Super Circuit, and then at 7 PM approximately, we will have a ladder tournament on Royal Rumble!

Also I’m happy to announce you can say goodbye to Old Chicago and Bobby Orr’s Power Play, they have both been sold off and a new game is headed our way, MONSTER BASH Remake Special Edition! This is one of the all time classic pinball machines featuring the Universal Monsters as they attempt to assemble the greatest rock band ever! The game will be delivered right after new years (okay actually Friday, but I’m playing it at home for a few days first). Thanks for the awesome year, and I hope everyone is loving pinball as much as I am.

FREE PLAY WEDNESDAY @ North End Pub!

Literally, FREE PINBALL! At North End Pub tonight! All we ask in return is you submit some selfie scores on Baywatch and Indianapolis 500, a piece of cake, play the game, take a picture, submit the score or even just send it to me and I’ll submit it for you.

Also, there is some sweet Smash Bros. Ultimate competition going on tonight at the bar, and as always amazing drink and food specials. I recommend the Honey Hot Wings and a pitcher of beer.

I’ll be there to help get your selfie scores and to whoop some ass using Kirby in Smash Bros!

You have until Saturday to get in those selfie scores and then the finals will be this Sunday!

Selfie Tournament Standings North End Pub!

Remember that selfie scores can only be submitted until Saturday this week as we have the finals tournament on Sunday! Here are the standings as of right now. Remember the top half of the players make the finals, right now that would be 7 people.

Also a reminder that tonight is the last tournament of the year at Main Street Amusements. We will use our 1 hour of qualifying on classics, followed by 3 game finals in groups of 4! See everyone there at 7:30 to start! $5 entry fee with all money going back to the winners of each division, everyone has a chance to win money until the very end!

Thank You & Congrats!

First off, a huge thank you to everyone who came down to North End Pub yesterday and played in the first ever Indiana Matchplay State Championship! Player conduct and behavior seemed to be pretty good, and overall I think people seemed to have fun and really enjoy the format. If you have any feedback or ideas for improvements in the future absolutely feel free to reach out and let me know. I appreciate players treating each other and the machines with respect, while still having competitive fun.

Secondly, but more importantly, congratulations to our State Champion Matt Peace! Matt played great all day long, qualifying first, and then whooping Tommy’s ass in the finals on consecutive games to claim the victory 2-0. Wear and defend the belt with pride! Follow @Indianapinballchamp on Instagram or check out the Facebook Page to find out when and where he will be putting the title up for grabs. Matt must defend the title before the end of January somewhere in the State of Indiana, perhaps next time it will be your shot to win the 5 Pounds of Gold!

Not only did Matt win the state title, but he also went on to claim victory in the Matchplay Challenge immediately afterward. It would have marked his first title defense if he had put the title on the line, but he declined all challengers for the evening and in all honesty who can blame him as the title belt is freaking sweet!

All results have been submitted to the IFPA as of this morning, and should be posted to your profiles very soon.

Again thank you to everyone who came out and played yesterday, and I hope we can make this title something fun for all of us around the state.

FREE PLAY WEDNESDAY!

You wanted FREE Pinball so you get free pinball! Tonight at North End Pub, come get some pizza, wings, and beer while you hang out with friends and enjoy some pinball action. Remember to take pictures of your scores on Baywatch and Indianapolis 500 for this month’s Selfie Tournament, only 10 days left to get scores submitted this month with finals taking place on Sunday, December 23rd! We have to eliminate at least half of the competitors to follow IFPA rules for finals so right now with only 9 people playing the top 4 would make the finals. Encourage all your friends to come down and get those scores in before the deadline.

NEP December Standings

Congrats to Tom Vandenberg for taking down the final 4-strikes tournament of the year at Main Street Amusements last night beating Matt Peace in the finals on Special Force.

Lastly, don’t forget this Sunday is the Indiana Matchplay State Championships at North End Pub starting at 12 PM. $20 entry fee to the tournament gives you a chance at claiming the title belt! Nothing like the feel of leather and gold wrapped around your waist! Only 9 spots left for the tournament so make sure you let me know if you want in. You are guaranteed at least 4 games, if you advance past that another 4, and then following that it becomes 1 game elimination at a time.
