Get the boats ready so you can row on down to MSA tonight by 7:30 for the final week of our regular season! The points accumulated over the course of the 8 weeks (only count your best 6 weeks really) are used to place you in a seeded bracket for our finals night. The top half of players will be seeded in A division, and the lower half will be seeded within B division for that night.

Tonight’s games are Medieval Madness, Theatre of Magic, Spider-Man, The Big Lebowski, and Captain Fantastic.

Week 7 Results, Week 8 Survey for Games

A great turnout last night and some strong play from all of the groups as we head into the last couple weeks of the regular season. We even added another new player in Bethany, thank you for joining us, who brought our total up to 21 participants this season. Matt and Craig tied for MVP of the night as they both finished with 19 points. Full results and standings are below.

In case you didn’t get the blog post yesterday, see the Facebook post, or have someone fill you in at league we now have a new web host for our scoring site so the new web address is http://portal.eastsidepinball.com , go check it out, added it to your favorites/bookmarks, and login to make sure it is working for you.

Also we must determine the remaining games for Week 8. As of right now we have Medieval Madness and Theatre of Magic, and then there was a 5-way tie for the last three spots. I created another survey so that we can choose those remaining games. Click the link or complete the survey directly below to have your vote counted.

Lastly several of you have expressed to me that 5/23/2017 may not work well for you as the date of our finals tournament. I will talk with Main Street Amusements and see if there is a better date we can use to accommodate everyone as best as possible, and get feedback from the group as well.

Thanks again for the awesome turnout last night and really this whole season. It has been great to have so many new faces join the league. Next week we will present the trophies from last season before we get started, and remember the following week on 5/16/2017 will be our monthly 3-strikes tournament.

The Votes Are In!

Well the votes have been tallied and it looks like we have some results. Week 7 we will play Tron LE, Harlem Globetrotters, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Star Trek Premium, and Batman ’66.

Week 8 we will play Theatre of Magic and Medieval Madness, and then we had a 5 way tie for the last 3 games so I will do another short runoff vote between those games for the final 3 spots.

Lastly it was unanimous that we split into A & B divisions for the finals which I think is a great idea. We won’t know exactly how many will be in each division until we actually have finals night which is May 23rd. However many show up that night, the top half of rankings will go into A, and the lower half will go into B. We will try to get a guesstimate of attendance plans in the week leading up to the event. See you all tomorrow at 7:30 for regular league play!

2 More Days to Vote!

So far 8 of you have completed the survey for the games we should play in weeks 7 & 8 and here are the results so far. We are going to play the 10 games that get the most votes for those weeks.  Also the questions about how to conduct finals has so far been unanimous in us splitting into A & B divisions so it is certainly looking like that will be the plan. You still have 2 more days to cast your vote.

With that being said there are no games to announce for week 7 or 8 yet because at this point in the season we have now played every game at MSA at least once during the course of our season. It is up to the players now to choose what games you most want to play for weeks 7 & 8. I have made a survey using Google Forms, simply select the 10 games you would like to play the most over the next two weeks and that is what we will play. The survey also contains a questions about what format you would like our finals to be in on May 23rd. The last several years we have just done one bracket, but with so many players this season I thought it may be better to go back to splitting into two divisions like we have in some previous seasons, anyway I will leave it up to a vote. Survey can be completed directly below, or you can click here. You can also view the results when you complete the survey to see what games it looks like we will be playing.

As always any questions or concerns just let me know. I’ll announce the game choices on Monday morning so anyone who wants to get down to MSA for some practice on Monday will still have time. See you all next week!

Reminder League Tomorrow @ 7:30 PM

Just your friendly reminder that tomorrow night is Week 6 of our Spring Season down at Main Street Amusements! As always we will start at 7:30.

lpl spring 2017 week 6 games

Games this week are Big Indian, Cybernaut, The Big Lebowski (hopefully), Theatre of Magic, and Twilight Zone! I believe after this week we will have played all the games on the floor at MSA at least once this season. I will create a poll and take votes for the games we should play the final two weeks of the season.

Also congrats to Tom, Matt, Tommy, and Chris who all had good showings up at Pinball at the Zoo tournament this past weekend representing the Lafayette Pinball League well at a PAPA Circuit event.

See you all tomorrow night!
