Just a little reminder that we have league finals tonight and are doing a timed 90-minute Flipper Frenzy Tournament to wrap up the season. I also got everyone a small thank you gift / Christmas present for playing in league this season and they were supposed to have arrived by Tuesday but the shipment tracking currently says they are delayed. I’m hoping they arrive today before the tournament but if they don’t I’ll get them to everyone as soon as I can.

If you haven’t played in a frenzy before you just play 1 vs 1, and as soon as that game is done you get assigned to play a new person 1 vs 1. Each win adds one point to your season total. If you are getting beat very badly you can just choose to forfeit and move on to the next game. If you are winning by a lot you can always just plunge your ball instead of playing it to try to get to the next game quicker. We will start at 8:30 tonight and end at no new games will start past 10:00. If you are a late that is okay you will just get added in as you arrive. Hope to see everyone tonight!

Oh and if you have been enjoying Radical! or The Simpsons’ Pinball Party get your time in on them tonight because they are both leaving on Saturday!

Just in case you didn’t see the facebook post we will be having a 90 minute Flipper Frenzy Finals on Thursday night at North End Pub. We will get started as close to 8:30 as possible and finish at 10:00.

In Flipper Frenzy you just play against one opponent and the play is basically non-stop for the time limit. You will get one point added to your season total for each win. If you are being beaten badly you can make the choice to forfeit, or if you are winning big and you don’t think your opponent can catch you could just plunge away a ball to make the game go faster and get into your next match quicker.

We will limit the games to just the bar side in order to help keeps things going fast that night. I also have a small Christmas / Thank You gift for those of you who played in league this season that should be delivered in time for Thursday. I hope many of you can make it! See you Thursday!

Sorry for the late news but my girlfriend has tested positive for Covid-19 so I will be quarantined for the next two weeks. Contact tracing as put her as having most likely caught it from a student at her school. I have remained symptom free and have isolated at home as best as possible but we are not taking any chances and are following CDC protocol at this time.

We will tentatively plan to host the event now on Dec. 17th pending everything. Pencil it in on the calendars for now and I will update everyone over the next week or so.

North End Pub and Market Square Lanes remain open and our games remain sanitized with SD-90. Please continue to mask up and sanitize often. Right now we are fortunate that I have no symptoms, and she has only lost her sense of smell and other wise feels fine, but we fully recognize this virus impacts everyone differently so do your best to stay safe and we hope to see you all again very soon. Hey Everyone! Thanks for an awesome season. We are going to try something a bit different for the finals this week and go with a timed Flip Frenzy for 90 minutes. You get 1 point added to your season total for every win you can get in the 90 minutes. This should keep everyone playing the whole time instead of our usual bracketed format that takes longer and has people sitting around. If you have played at any point during the season you are welcome to come out and participate in the finals event. We will stick with the games that are in the bar to help speed things up as well. So come ready to flip! Below are the final standings from the regular season. We finished with 28 people playing in at least one week, and a little over half of that number as players that would have counted if we had run an actual IFPA formated season. Hey everyone! Last night of league tonight 8:30 or so start time like usual! We will take tonight off and then finish up on Dec.3rd with a flip frenzy tournament to cap off the end of the year. Remember to mask up, and I’ll bring plenty of sanitizer. We have the Jurassic Park display hooked up to the big tv now, and Super Mario Bros. and Ali should be solid to play as well. We are in the home stretch of our league! Only this week and next week left and it is still anyone’s championship to capture!

We are in a good news bad news situation with the new restrictions handed down by the governor yesterday. The good news is we will still be able to meet play and finish our season. The bad news is that we will not be able to use the games on the bowling alley side right now, and the games in the Penalty Box room in the front will be limited to one group at a time. The reason for these new restrictions is that the players not currently up on the machines have to stay seated now. As has been the rule all players must still wear their masks. So not any huge drastic changes, but just some small ways that you can help us stay in compliance with the new local ordinances so that we can continue to have a league.

So games not in play tonight are Big Guns, Super Mario Bros., Baywatch, WWF Royal Rumble, X-men, Godzilla, and Dale Jr. That leaves you with 18 games to pick from. Looking forward to seeing everyone tonight!
