So obviously this is a very busy pinball week at Main Street Amusements! Tonight’s games for league are Star Trek, Star Wars, Space Shuttle, The Big Lebowski, and Theatre of Magic. 

Selfie Finals are in groups of 4 based on the rankings below! Show up, play 3 games, leave with a pocket of pride and joy in the beating you have given your opponents, oh and some WPPR points.

And then Sunday Funday will have two tournaments running simultaneously.

The Big Lebowski Launch Party which is $10 entry fee + coin drop, unlimited attempts. 4 highest scores will meet in a one game playoff to claim the prize money and awards. Finals will be at 7:00 PM pending the conclusion of the PinGolf Open.

The Obviously You’re Not a Golfer PinGolf Open will be running as well. This tournament also has a $10 entry fee + coin drop on the machines. Tee times start at 12 noon, and you may not begin your golf round after 4 PM. All golf scores must be completed by 5:55 PM. Finals for PinGolf will begin promptly at 6:00 PM. Cash payouts and awards to the final four.

Hey guys, throwing a little holiday get together at my house Thursday, December 22nd. I’ll cook some food and if others want to bring some side dishes or desserts or whatever to throw down we can have ourselves a nice little gathering. We did this last year and it seemed to be a  good time for all involved, maybe we will get lucky again and the weather will stay warm all the way up until the party and we can have the fire out back again. Anyway all are invited, hope to see many of you there. Invite says 6 PM but feel free to show up anytime after 4 PM for those of you who may have an arcade to open or anything else that makes it easier to come earlier in the day.

Games this week are King of Diamonds, Spanish Eyes, Spider-Man Vault Edition, The Walking Dead, and Twilight Zone.

King of Diamonds, TWD, and TZ are all part of Super-Selfie League this month and therefore extra balls can be played on those machines!

Here are the current standings for November Selfie League, you have until Wednesday night at 11 PM to get scores submitted for the month, and finals will be next Wednesday, December 7th.

Pinsgiving official meal is now my delicious and almost famous chili. It is slightly spicy but shouldn’t kill anyone. I have diet coke, water, some tea and apple cider at the house, lots of liquor as well, but if you want some beer you are going to have to bring it yourself. Feel free to bring some friends or family. Looks like I have Genesis playing relatively well enough, Shadow, Fish Tales, and Lord of the Rings should all be good to go as well. Still trying to get James Bond and Baywatch ready by Wednesday as well. So come hungry and ready to flip.

The day has finally arrived for us to come, to see, and to kick some ass on Ghostbusters Premium down at Main Street Amusements! Over the last several months we have patiently awaited the arrival of one of the most highly anticipated pinball machines to be released in years. The game is designed by John Trudeau, coded by Dwight Sullivan, and artwork done by Zombi Yeti (aka Jeremy Packer)! The game features “magna-slings”, a subway ramp that dips under the playfield, a moving Slimer bash toy, and a very deep rule set. It has the traditional Trudeau flipper gap so get used to some SDTM drains on this one, and be ready for a battle against the ghosts. Grab your tokens and PayRange app and head on down to MSA to do some flippin! 

The man, the myth, the legend does it again winning the selfie tournament two weeks ago and now the monthly 3 strikes tournament! It is safe to say Keith is on a hot streak so watch out! Forcing Keith to a 2nd game in the finals was Darcy, who finished in second, with Dan I. knocking out Tommy in the battle for 3rd. Dan St. John also continued his win streak over Craig ever since the Mayhem tournament just in case anyone else is keeping track. Full results below!

 I’ll tell you what I’m blathering about… I’ve got information man! New shit has come to light! And obviously you’re not a golfer!

We are excited to announce that the side tournament taking place during The Big Lebowski Launch Party will be the “Obviously You’re Not a Golfer” PinGolf Open! Tee times will start at 12:00 PM and the last tee time is 4:00 PM. Finals will start at 6:00 PM for the 8 players with the lowest scores. If you have not completed your 9 holes by 5:55 PM, well you are shit out of luck and simply should have not been trying to be the laziest person in Tippecanoe county, or for that matter maybe even the whole world.

This will be a unique take on PinGolf as each player may individually choose at every hole if they wish to play for a target score or a target objective. Players must choose one or the other and indicate it on their score card prior to starting ball one on each game. Each hole also has a very difficult hole in 1 objective. If the player achieves that objective at any point during their game they will automatically receive a hole in 1 on that game/hole.

The games along with their target scores and objectives have already been determined (except Ghostbusters because I need to get a better idea of the scoring) and are posted below and viewable in a sample scorecard that will be used that day.

Hey everyone, here are the results from league last night! Matt and Tommy finish atop their groups with 20 points each, and Darcy wins a nail biter in Group 2 with 16 points just edging out Chris.

Also a reminder that next week will be our monthly tournament, 3 strikes elimination format and it starts at 8PM. $5 entry fee as always, and all money gets paid out to the top 4 finishers!

The games for week 3 of league (11/22/2016) are Medieval Madness, Metallica, Monopoly, Power Play, and Revenge from Mars.

Also in case you somehow missed it The Big Lebowski has arrived! It is absolutely stunning in person to see, and even more fun to play. Be sure to create your very own player profile on the game as well so you can login and have high scores saved easily. It is a very cool feature. The game has been playing great, and be sure to drop lots of tokens or Pay Range credits into it to show our appreciation to Dan and Main Street Amusements for providing us with such an amazing collection of games to be played.

And last reminder 11/23/16 2nd Annual Pinsgiving at my house! Feel free to come eat some food and play some pinball.

Just a reminder that we have Week 2 of league tomorrow night at 7:30! Also reminder that it is election day and based on all reports from the media surely regardless of results tomorrow signifies the end of the world. I wouldn’t have believed any of it but with the Cubs winning the World Series last week it is now definitely a possibility that the world may end, and in that case I want to go out FLIPPING!

The last supper may be served next door at DT Kirby’s or Professor Joe’s following the commencement of league play while talking heads on TV remind us of our impending doom.

And, oh yeah man, like the Dude may be arriving before league play so at least we can go bowling before the apocalypse goes into full effect.
